Community - Parents and Citizens (P&C)

WHAT IS THE P&C ASSOCIATION?

P&C stands for Parents and Community Association, we are a group of interested parents of the school who meet with our Principal twice a term to discuss the direction of the school and come up with ideas for fundraising and how we can support school.

Meetings are held in the Staff room in week three and week seven of each term. These are advertised on the school planner and the classroom pinboards. The meetings are generally about 90 minutes long.

Any adult can join the P&C regardless of gender, age, and ethnicity. The more diverse the group the better it will represent our school.

WHAT DOES THE P&C DO?

• To encourage a positive school community spirit

• A means for all parents and caregivers to participate and get involved with the school and teachers

• Fundraising for literacy, learning and library resources, excursions, incursions and amenities for the school.

• Run the uniform shop with parent volunteers helping to sell school uniforms • Run the Canteen with a Manager and parent volunteers.

• Run school banking with assistance from Commonwealth Bank and parent volunteers.

Recent major contributions have consisted with the Construction of the Undercover Play Area in 2018, Canteen Rennovation in 2019 and in 2021 the Nature Playground Project.
